- 100 gSunflower Oil
- 100 gCaster Sugar
- 100 gDark Chocolate
- 150 gRoasted Hazelnuts
- 30 gCornstarch
- 1 teaspoonBaking Powder
- 1 teaspoonVanilla Extract (or similar)
- Chopped Hazelnuts for Garnish
1- Preheat the oven to 325°F/180°C; Line a 7 inch springform cake pan with parchment paper or grease it with cooking spray, set aside.
2- Finely grind the Hazelnuts with a food processor and melt the Chocolate in the microwave or in a saucepan over medium heat, leave to cool.
3- Whip the Eggs with Sugar in a large bowl using a hand mixer, we should get a smooth and whitish mixture.
4- Add the Sunflower Oil and melted dark Chocolate, keep mixing at slower speed until smooth and well combined.
5- Add the Ground hazelnuts, Cornstarch, Baking Powder and Vanilla Extract then keep mixing until well combined.
6- Pour the mixture into the cake pan, garnish the surface with a handful of chopped hazelnuts.
7- Bake the Flourless Chocolate Cake for about 45 minutes or until a skewed inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
