Ingredients
- 1Egg
- 100 gSunflower Milk
- 100 gMilk
- 100 gCaster Sugar
- 300Plain Flour
- 1 teaspoonBaking Powder
- 1 teaspoonVanilla Extract (or similar)
- 2Apples
- Caster Sugar for Garnish
- The Juice of Half a Lemon
Preparation
1- Preheat the oven to 325°F/180°C; Line a baking tray with parchment paper, set aside.
2- Peel the Apples, chop them into small same size pieces using a knife and chopping board then put them in a bowl with the juice of half a lemon, this allow them to not become dark.
3- Roughly grind the Walnuts using chopping board and knife, set aside.
4- Put the Egg, Caster Sugar, Sunflower Oil and Milk in a large bowl, mix the ingredients with a spoon until liquid but smooth.
5- Add the Plain Flour, Baking Powder and Vanilla Extract, keep mixing until sticky and smooth.
6- Add the Apples and Walnuts, mix again until well combined.
7- Form heaps of mixture using two spoons, arrange the on the baking tray slightly spaced from each other.
8- Sprinkle a handful of Caster Sugar on them. Bake the Little Apple Walnut Cakes for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
