Peach Tart

The Peach Tart is a delicious recipe, perfect for summer. We can enjoy the Tart at any time of the day: during breakfast with a good cup of coffee, or maybe after dinner as dessert. If you want you can personalize the Tart by adding some other seasonal fruits to the peaches, such as berries or you can add some chocolate chips (only once cold). Let’s see the recipe.

For the Crust

  • 1Egg
  • 100 gSunflower Oil
  • 150 gSugar
  • 250 gPlain Flour
  • 1 teaspoonBaking Powder
  • 1 teaspoonVanilla Extract

For the Filling

  • 7Ripe Peaches
  • 50 gCaster Sugar
  • 2tbsp Plain Flour
  • The Juice of Half a Lemon


  1. 1- Grease a 9-10 inch tart pan with butter or nonstick spray, set aside, we’ll need it later.

  2. 2- Wash the Peaches, chop them into pieces of the same size using a cutting borad and a knife, pour into a large sauce pan, add the Caster Sugar, Plain Flour and Lemon Juice.

  3. 3- Bring the filling to a boil stirring constantly, cook for a few minutes, until most of the peaches has been crushed and we have obtained a cream that is not too liquid. Set aside.

  4. 4- Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C

  5. 5- Prepare the Crust: Pour the Egg, the Sunflower Oil and the Sugar into a large bowl, mix all the ingredients using a wooden spoon until smooth and creamy.

  6. 6- Add Plain Flour, the Baking Powder and the Vanilla Extract, keep mixing until obtain a smooth and stiff dough.

  7. 7- Line the tart pan by sticking the dough on the base and along the side, we should get a smooth shell, trim the edges with a knife. If you want to obtain a better result, roll out the dough with a rolling pin and a sprinkle of flour, then put it into the tart pan.

  8. 8- Spread the filling into the crust then level it using the back of a spoon or a spatula.

  9. 9- Bake the Peach Tart for about 40 minutes or until the edges are light golden.
